Rothiemurchus is a Highland estate located near to Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland. The estate is home to a large forest and stunning scenery perfect for spotting wildlife and outdoor activities. Read on to find out our favourite family friendly activities for your next visit.

Little Landy’s Off Road Adventure

Children aged 6-11 years can hop into the driver’s seat of an electric mini Land Rover for a thrilling drive around a purpose build, off road 4×4 course.

TreeZone

Children 8 and above can take to the tree tops in this exhilarating zip-wire adventure playground. There are 2 courses rising to 40 feet above the ground and takes between 1 hour and 1 and 1/2 hours to complete.

Quad Bike Trekking

Perfect for adrenaline junkies aged 12 and above there is no better way to head off road and explore the estate. The treks travel through the forest and moors, offer fantastic views of the surrounding landscapes and the chance to see the estate’s wildlife.

Feed the Deer

Fun for all the family, head to the deer farm where you can meet, pet and feed the estate’s herd of red deer. Meeting the deer is even more magical in the winter time when there is a smattering of snow.

River Adventures

Not for the faint hearted, the estate offers a wide range of exciting water activities for children starting at age 5. We love the White Water River Tubing and Family Rafting for something a little different.

Hairy Coo Safari

Meet Scotland’s most recognisable animal, the Highland Cow. On this safari, children of all ages can meet and learn about the estate’s herd of very cute coos.

Bird of Prey Experience

This unique experience is new for 2022 and is suitable for children aged 5 and above. You get to learn about each of Rothiemurchus’ birds of prey including owls, a hawk and an eagle and then you have the chance to fly them!
