The UK has some big events coming up this year! We are sharing a little more about some that we are particularly excited about below.

1 – Scotland’s Year of Stories

Scotland boasts a rich literary landscape and many stories have been inspired, created, written or filmed here! From poets, authors, myths and legends to books, libraries and famous film locations, join us as we celebrate the #Visitscotland “Year of Stories” throughout 2022.

2 – The 150th Open at St Andrews

Beginning with just 8 players in 1860, this July marks the 150th Open at the Old Course, St Andrews in Fife. This historic event will see the world’s greatest in golf compete for the coveted Claret Jug.

3 – The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Queen Elizabeth II will be the first British Monarch to celebrate a platinum jubilee, 70 years of service. To mark this momentous milestone, celebrations will take place throughout the year culminating in a 4 day weekend in June. Events will range from community lunches and live concerts to pudding contests and a special birthday parade. A true once in a lifetime experience.

4 – The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

After a 2 year absence, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo will be back with a bang in 2022. Scotland’s bestselling show returns under a new brand ethos “Performance in a new light” and with Edinburgh Castle esplanade as their stage, performers from across the globe will wow you with an exceptional mix of dance, music and military displays.
